About the role

The Training Coordinator will provide customer-centered services designed to educate, enhance, and deliver workforce development training to program participants. This position reports to the Project Director and is a full-time, non-exempt, hybrid role requiring both onsite and remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary liaison with training providers to develop and nurture partnerships that expand education and training opportunities for participants.
  • Educate participants on the advantages of training and upskilling to broaden employment opportunities and career paths.
  • Ensure approved and current information regarding the Eligible Training Provider’s List is available to participants and staff.
  • Maintain and disseminate approved vendor information and performance outcomes to staff and participants.
  • Facilitate group and individual assessment, eligibility, and training information sessions for participants.
  • Participate in assessing participant marketability skills to determine training suitability and facilitate referrals.
  • Review participant training needs, industry hiring patterns, and high-priority occupations to assist with career exploration and aligned pathways.
  • Assist with completing and reviewing individual training account packets for compliance with requirements.
  • Provide timely reports for Career Advisors, including pipelines of training candidates, programs, and providers.
  • Consult with Career Advisors on support services to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all contacts in the state’s system of record.
  • Support off-site events and track progress for individual and team targets using appropriate platforms.
  • Meet or exceed program benchmarks with a solutions-oriented and responsive mindset.
  • Participate in staff-related events as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong communication skills and knowledge of community resources.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make well-thought-out decisions.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Word and Excel, and the ability to learn specialized databases.
  • Ability to work with a culturally diverse customer base and demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
  • Ability to motivate participants toward achieving goals and meet set objectives.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, time management, customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the WIOA program and other workforce program requirements.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
  • High level of confidentiality and exceptional time management to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of the local region and relevant partners.
  • Bilingual or multilingual.

Pay

$50,000 - $54,500/year, commensurate with education and experience.

Schedule

This is a hybrid position requiring onsite and remote work. Travel is primarily limited to necessary trips within the Borderplex Region to support career seekers.
