Training & Assembly Assistant

For our location in Rochester, New York 14624, we are looking for a Training & Assembly Assistant to drive the energy transition forward with PFISTERER, a global leader in connection technology for the energy sector.

About the role

Under the direction of the Lead Trainer, this position is responsible for training and assembly of Pfisterer products, working with operations to schedule and coordinate all training and assembly functions.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all training and assembly of Pfisterer products in North America, including but not limited to Connex, Sicon, EHV cable accessories, PLUG, etc.
• Complete all necessary paperwork for each project with timely submission to inside sales for processing and customer billing.
• Act as the North American technical support for operations, inside sales, and outside sales regarding Pfisterer products.
• Manage tool inventory for use in the assembly process.
• Train new hires and employees on advanced assemblies.
• Assist Training Assemblers with all functions necessary to ensure the quality of Pfisterer products.

Requirements

• Minimum three years of experience with MV cable construction and prep.
• Minimum three years of prior experience installing cable accessories (Pfisterer products preferred).
• Thorough knowledge of the industry and product line.
• Prior training experience and a full understanding of installation procedures.
• Strong presentation and customer service skills.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to fifty pounds unassisted.
• Standing, bending, lifting, and sitting throughout the day.
• Fast-paced environment, occasionally.
