About the role
Identifies and follows up on potential contacts for prospective foster parents within the same day or, if received after hours, on the next business day.
Responsibilities
- Assists prospective foster and adoptive families in enrolling for Deciding Together (DT) classes
- Conducts Deciding Together (DT) classes for prospective foster and adoptive families
- Assists families with obtaining fingerprints and out-of-state checks if needed
- Collects all required DT paperwork from prospective families
- Completes DT Leaders Summary and Recommendations
- Provides support to prospective foster families
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in the Human Services field or a related field
- At least two years’ experience providing child welfare and/or family services
- Detailed understanding of foster parenting
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Must pass pre-employment background and reference checks, drug screen, and fingerprinting
