About the role

Recruits new foster families through networking and established community contacts, and trains new foster families.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and follows up on potential contacts for prospective foster parents within the same day or, if received after hours, on the next business day
• Assists prospective foster and adoptive families in enrolling for DT classes
• Conducts Deciding Together (DT) classes for prospective foster and adoptive families
• Assists families with obtaining fingerprints and out-of-state checks if needed
• Collects all required DT paperwork from prospective families
• Completes DT Leaders Summary and Recommendations
• Provides support to prospective foster families
