About the role
Recruits new foster families through networking and established community contacts, and trains new foster families.
Responsibilities
- Identifies and follows up on potential contacts for prospective foster parents within the same day or, if received after hours, on the next business day
- Assists prospective foster and adoptive families in enrolling for DT classes
- Conducts Deciding Together (DT) classes for prospective foster and adoptive families
- Assists families with obtaining fingerprints and out-of-state checks if needed
- Collects all required DT paperwork from prospective families
- Completes DT Leaders Summary and Recommendations
- Provides support to prospective foster families
