About the role
The Training and Adoption Consultant will support our client with their electronic health record (EHR) implementation. This position will prepare end users for the new EHR through onsite facilitation of learning activities such as classroom instruction, computer-based training, scenario-based practice, and hands-on coaching. Trainers will position end users to acquire the knowledge and skills to effectively use their EHR systems and provide ongoing support and guidance throughout the training lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate education of the client’s training strategy at assigned sites through training sessions at hospitals and clinics via in-person, virtual, or hybrid formats.
- Collaborate with cross-pillar workstreams.
- Document successful completion of technical and functional user training.
- Attend and/or lead meetings with stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Support go-live readiness activities including learning labs, sign-on fairs, and favorite fairs.
- Support go-live activities at hospitals and clinics.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "Public Trust"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication prior to onboarding.
- Due to contract requirements, US Citizenship is required; no sponsorship available.
- Bachelor’s Degree; four (4) years of additional professional experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s.
- Minimum of three (3) years of training experience.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts onsite during pre- and post-go-live activities.
- Experience working directly in the Oracle Health/Cerner EHR as a clinician, administrative staff, or other end user.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and related applications.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and address client needs, including active participation in discussions and meetings, and preparing concise, accurate documents.
- Must be organized, self-motivated, and able to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Ability to excel both independently and as a team member in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to executive leadership.
- Ability to manage deadlines and recurring deliverables.
- Quiet workspace to deliver learning with supporting IT accessories, including access to a cellphone (required during onsite activities).
- Must be willing to travel up to 100%.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a healthcare-related field (preferred).
- Experience in healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting with a major healthcare organization or large-scale IT transformation project (preferred).
- Experience as a clinician (preferred).
Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $89,000.00–$148,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on skill sets, experience, training, security clearances, licensure, certifications, and business needs.
