About the role

The Trailer Technician transports restroom and shower trailers to customer locations. This position ensures water, drainage, and electrical are operational at time of installation. Trailer Technicians perform maintenance and janitorial needs for trailers throughout the duration of rental before transporting them back to a United Site Services (USS) branch at the end of the rental.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily pre-shift & post-shift vehicle inspection & report deficiencies to shop immediately. Report improper operation, faulty equipment, and unusual conditions to the Mechanic/Operations Supervisor/Manager.
  • Operate delivery truck to and from pre-designated work sites based on daily routing information.
  • Maintain telephone or radio contact with Hub Manager or Office Administrator to receive additional instructions or changes to work locations.
  • Deliver comfort stations to or pick up from event locations, completing set up and breakdown of all equipment.
  • Troubleshoot issues which may arise during delivery, servicing, or pick-up of comfort stations, including basic electrical, plumbing, and/or HVAC.
  • Restock paper products, hand sanitizer, soap, etc. in units being serviced and service/repair comfort stations.
  • Clean interior and exterior of units.
  • Maintain truck logs according to state and federal regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years of commercial driving experience.
  • Valid Driver License (CDL with a class A endorsement).
  • Valid forklift certification required.
  • Excellent time management, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Sit while operating equipment and stand while servicing product.
  • Lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Repeat movements.
  • Ability to stand and walk up to 30 minutes without exertion.
  • Physical strength and stamina.
  • Speak clearly.
  • Stepping and kneeling.
  • Ability to climb ladder.
  • See details of objects that are less than a few feet away and also at greater distance.

Pay

Salary Range: $23.94 – $33.52 / hour.
