Trailer Technician

About the role

United Site Services is the industry leader in comprehensive site services, committed to creating partnerships that help enable our customers’ project and event success. As a Trailer Technician, you will transport restroom and shower trailers to customer locations, ensuring water, drainage, and electrical systems are operational at the time of installation. You will perform maintenance and janitorial tasks throughout the rental duration and transport trailers back to the USS branch at the end of the rental.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections and report deficiencies to the shop immediately.
• Report improper operation, faulty equipment, or unusual conditions to the Mechanic/Operations Supervisor/Manager.
• Operate a delivery truck to and from pre-designated work sites based on daily routing information.
• Maintain telephone or radio contact with the Hub Manager or Office Administrator for additional instructions or changes to work locations.
• Deliver comfort stations to or pick up from event locations, completing setup and breakdown of all equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues during delivery, servicing, or pick-up, including basic electrical, plumbing, and/or HVAC tasks.
• Restock paper products, hand sanitizer, soap, etc., in units being serviced.
• Clean interior and exterior of units and perform service/repairs on comfort stations.
• Maintain truck logs according to state and federal regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of commercial driving experience.
• Valid Driver License (CDL with a Class A endorsement).
• Valid forklift certification.
• Excellent time management, customer service, and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Sit while driving and stand while servicing products.
• Use hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Repeat the same movements.
• See details of objects that are less than a few feet away and also at greater distances.
• Speak clearly so customers can understand.
• Understand the speech of another person.
• Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them.
• Walk up to 30 minutes at a time without exertion.
• Enter and exit equipment by stepping and kneeling.
• Lift up to 40 lbs from your waist to your shoulders.
• Lift 30 lbs from the floor to your head.
• Crouch and squat.
• Push 100 lbs and pull 100 lbs horizontally.

Pay

Salary range: $21.66 – $30.33 per hour.
