Trailer Technician

Location: Charlotte, NC, USA

Schedule

Full time; Monday-Wednesday and every other weekend, 3:00 p.m.–1:30 a.m.

About the role

Perform routine maintenance, inspections, rebuilds and component replacements as a Trailer Technician. Work on company trailers.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance to trailers – like tire changes, minor electrical repairs and greasing.
• Use maintenance software to create and track work orders.
• Communicate status updates with internal customers.

Requirements

• Technical degree in welding, electronics, or related systems, or a minimum of 1 year of trailer technician experience.
• Basic welding skills preferred.
• Computer systems and diagnostic software experience.
• Able to provide recommendations regarding maintenance and repair decisions.
• Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.

Pay

Competitive hourly wages based on experience. Non-exempt U.S. shop associates working 50% or greater of the daily shift time between 3 p.m. and 5 a.m. local time receive a $1.50 per hour differential for hours worked. Non-exempt U.S. shop associates working weekend hours receive an additional $0.65 per hour differential for hours worked (weekend hours are 9 p.m. Friday – 5 a.m. Monday).
