Trailer Technician

About the role

Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leader in fleet maintenance across the U.S., is hiring a skilled Trailer Technician/Mechanic to join their team in Chicago, Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on trailers
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
• Complete inspections and ensure vehicles meet safety standards
• Document repairs and complete work orders
• Maintain tools and equipment
• Follow safety procedures and company guidelines
• Work with supervisors and team members to keep fleets operational

Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience in performing repairs on class 7 - 8 trailers
• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues
• Valid driver’s license
• Own and maintain personal tools and a toolbox necessary to perform job duties
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay & Schedule

• Pay $28.00-$32.00/hour (based on experience)
• Pay Frequency - Weekly pay
• Schedule - Sunday - Thursday 9:00 pm - 5:30 am
