Responsibilities
- Controls movement of vehicular traffic through construction projects.
- Discusses traffic routing plans and type and location of control points with superiors.
- Distributes traffic control signs and markers along the site in a designated pattern.
- Directs traffic movement through the site using sign, hand, and flag signals.
- Warns construction workers when approaching vehicles fail to heed signals to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Informs drivers of detour routes through construction sites.
- Records license numbers of traffic control violators for the police.
Qualifications
- Experience & Education/Certificate: 1-2 years of experience on construction sites.
- GED/high school diploma or related work experience.
- Valid driver's license required.

- Able to work efficiently under deadlines and pressure.
- Able to keep up in a fast-paced environment.
