About the role
This hybrid position is responsible for managing carrier movements and ensuring efficient access and egress of the property.
Responsibilities
- Maintain efficient access and egress of the property by controlling carrier delivery and pick-up appointments.
- Direct carriers and visitors to appropriate parking/staging areas or dock doors.
- Remain in constant contact with the AS/RS Office Administrator to inform the dock team of scheduled arrivals.
- Ensure all completed loads are inspected for appropriately secured trailer seals recorded on bills of lading.
- Scan pallets for loads, verify pallets to orders, close out trucks verifying accuracy of bills of lading, and interact with carriers when working in the ASRS dock.
Requirements
- Schedule: 2nd shift - 2pm - 10:30pm Wednesday-Sunday, OFF - Monday & Tuesday's
- Essential Duties: Monitor and report deviations from HACCP & SQF programs, process arriving carriers, confirm trailer temperatures, communicate AOD lot safety procedures, seal/truck departures, maintain logs, support palletizing and labeling, monitor product integrity, report unsafe behavior, communicate scheduled appointments, direct carriers to docks, remind of trailer-backing procedures, patrol staged trailers, confirm temperature settings, assist with janitorial duties.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent experience.
- Prior Security experience beneficial.
- Ability to execute in high-pressure situations.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Shipping/receiving experience preferred.
- Experience with PC applications and computer systems essential.
- Detail oriented and team player.
- Good time management and multitasking skills.
- Excellent and effective communication skills.
- Trouble shooting, problem solving, and corrective action planning a must.
- Strong, honest work ethic with ability to handle multiple tasks daily.

- Physical ability to work outside in adverse weather conditions.
- Standing, walking, climbing, and sitting in a small, confined area.
- Safety in a fast-paced environment working around large trucks, tankers, and automobiles.
