About the role
The Traffic Coordinator is responsible for efficiently directing vehicular traffic in designated areas while providing exceptional hospitality services. The role includes issuing valet parking tickets to patients/guests in accordance with mystery shop standards, upholding site management’s parking policies and procedures, and parking and retrieving guest vehicles in a prompt yet safe manner. The Traffic Coordinator also assists guests with luggage, including delivery and pickup during arrival and departure.
Responsibilities
- Direct vehicular traffic while providing attentive, friendly service to all patients/guests.
- Assist the marketing department with targeted marketing efforts.
- Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with guests, location staff, and coworkers.
- Acknowledge and greet guests immediately, using their last name when appropriate.
- Maintain composure and accuracy under pressure; use proper Towne Park phone etiquette.
- Assist guests with directions and other inquiries; stand while serving guests.
- Provide information about the surrounding area and main attractions as needed; protect guest confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
- Collect data in accordance with parking operations, if applicable.
- Obtain information about daily events and applicable rates; maintain claim checks and guest folio archives.
- Run to park and retrieve vehicles; drive slowly and cautiously.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- One to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and write standard English; comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; and present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.
- Ability to perform basic math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using units of American money, weight, volume, and distance; understand 24-hour and military time systems; understand applicable rates.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Register/computer experience preferred.
- Must be able to drive manual transmission and perform parallel parking.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Frequently required to sit or stand for extended periods; may be required to run, walk, handle objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 25 pounds frequently, and greater than 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
- Work primarily outdoors for extended periods, including the entire duration of the shift; subject to environmental conditions such as extreme heat and cold.
- Travel of up to 5% may be required.
Pay
The hourly base pay range for this position is $15–$17 per hour.
Schedule
7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday through Friday; no weekends required.
