About the role

A Traffic Control Technician is responsible for the day-to-day setup and removal of traffic control equipment in work zones, ensuring projects are completed accurately and safely. This is a fast-paced outdoor role with opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Set up and remove traffic control equipment in work zones
• Ensure project accuracy and safety
• Work in a dynamic team environment with changing daily demands
• Operate and maintain tools, machinery, and vehicles
• Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 100 lbs. without assistance

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s license; must be insurable under the company’s vehicle insurance policy
• CDL A strongly preferred
• Must pass a physical and pre-employment drug screen
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and out-of-town projects lasting a week or more
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions (rain, snow, cold, heat)
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Basic math skills and ability to read a level and tape measure
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and dependability

Physical Demands

• Frequent standing, sitting, walking, climbing, and use of hands/fingers
• Grasping tools, climbing ladders, and navigating uneven terrain
• Lifting or pushing/pulling objects up to 100 lbs. without assistance
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and electrical risks
• Moderate to loud noise levels in the work environment
