Traffic Control Assistant

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload materials.
• Set barricades.
• Unload barricades.
• Load barricades.

Requirements

• Minimum requirements: Valid rivers license, ability to obtain TEEX certification in “Work Zone traffic Control”.
• Less than high school education; up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Physical activity involving strenuous daily activities of a primarily productive/technical nature.
• Manual dexterity sufficient for reaching, handling, and perceiving attributes of objects and materials.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: Less than high school education, up to one-month related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and understand measurements.
• Extensive physical fitness for demanding tasks.
• Manual dexterity for handling materials and equipment.

Skills

• Manual labor skills.
• Knowledge of traffic control procedures.
• Physical stamina and endurance.
