Traffic Administrator Level 1 or 2
About the role
This position will be located onsite in Moss Point, MS. It involves planning, scheduling, and routes inbound and outbound domestic and international shipments of freight, using knowledge of postal regulations, tariffs, and company policy. It also includes scheduling with carriers, reconciling freight bills, preparing and negotiating claims, and selecting or recommending carriers to ensure efficient, timely, and least expensive movement of goods and material.
Responsibilities
- Schedules with carriers, reconciles freight bills, prepares and negotiates claims, and selects or recommends carriers to ensure efficient, timely, and least expensive movement of goods and material.
- Conducts research on transportation methods, rates, and routes.
- Develops programs to audit and monitor carrier rates and charges and evaluates past performance and cost of transportation.
- Coordinates dedicated truck shipments as requested by various programs in addition to classified shipments.
- Responds to client needs by answering emails, calls, tracking and moving shipments.
- Maintains on-time pick-up and delivery.
- Supports shipping/receiving with unloading/loading of small packages when needed.
- Provides support to import on uploading documents to the file repository.
- Resolves customer or supplier issues.
Requirements
- Associate Traffic administrator Level 1: Associate degree with experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Project Management, Business Management, operations.
- Associate Traffic administrator Level 2: Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Project Management, Business Management, operations, or a Master’s degree with 1 year of experience.
Qualifications
- Supply Chain or Traffic or Shipping or Warehousing experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain U.S Government Secret Clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the Company to meet its business needs.
- Experience with the use of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) applications.

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $49,400.00 - $74,200.00 for the primary level and $59,600.00 - $89,400.00 for the secondary level. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
