Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and schedule international & domestic shipments, including specialized handling for sensitive high-tech equipment and inspection systems to ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate with external service providers and relay key information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare all required shipping documentation for assigned regions or customers.
- Maintain and update department metrics.
- Aid in packaging of material for shipment as needed.
- Assist with packaging of material inventory checks/reorder, material kitting, movement of materials between warehouses.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Level Degree is preferred with at least 1 year of experience OR an AA degree with 3 years of experience in international shipping/traffic operations.
- SAP or Oracle proficiency required.
- Hazardous Materials Certification is an advantage.
- Preference in Air Freight.
- Basic knowledge of U.S. export regulations and experience preparing export documentation.
- Basic knowledge of U.S. import requirements.
- Strong judgment within established procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions.
- Strong administrative skills, including online filing, telephone etiquette, order follow-up, and document organization.
- Experience with Letters of Credit is preferred.
- Minimum Qualifications: AA degree with 4 years of experience in international shipping/traffic operations.
- Basic knowledge of U.S. export regulations and experience preparing export documentation.
- Basic knowledge of U.S. import requirements.
- Strong English skills (written and verbal).
Pay
Base Pay Range: $51,300.00 - $87,200.00 Annually
