It adheres to the strictest standards established by the Florida Department of Health, Medicare, and the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).

The center features two Operating Rooms and two Procedure Rooms, specializing in the following areas: gastroenterology, general surgery, gynecology, pain management, podiatry, and urology.

About the Role

Under the direction of the Business Office Manager, the Front Desk Coordinator performs a variety of administrative tasks to facilitate the admission of patients to the surgery center. This is a PRN position.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and triage phone calls, greet and speak with patients and family members in a friendly and compassionate manner.
  • Monitor the main entrance and serve as the first point of contact for all visitors at the Center.
  • Maintain a daily visitor log.
  • Prepare welcome packets and necessary documentation for next-day cases.
  • Provide welcome packets, check-in patients, collect and scan documents, verify and input patient data.
  • Print estimate forms, obtain patient signatures, collect payments as needed, or set up payment plans.
  • Give appropriate instructions to patients and family members at the time of admission regarding expectations for the day.
  • Appropriately record information in the patient’s medical record, including downloading information from EHR/paper chart to EMR.
  • Handle vendor credentialing and manage vendor access to the Center.
  • Maintain the waiting area and front desk in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality of Center and patient information at all times to ensure compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient computer skills and office administrative experience.
  • BLS certification (as required by individual ASC policy).

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of front desk experience in a medical office or surgical center.
