Trading Application Engineer

About the role

This role works closely with many corners of the organization and focuses, amongst others, on 1) providing first-line support to traders during trading hours, 2) improving the stability of the entire trading system, 3) implementing and enhancing the monitoring set-up, 4) introducing automations where possible.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line support to traders during trading hours
• Improve the stability of the entire trading system
• Implement and enhance the monitoring set-up
• Introduce automations where possible

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role (at least 3 years, ideally in a financial markets setting)
• A proactive and driven attitude
• Robust problem solving and communication skills (especially under pressure)
• Familiarity with Linux environments
• Experience automating processes using any of: Python, Bash, Lua, PowerShell
• Proficiency in SQL
• Solid understanding of containerization technologies
• Solid understanding of monitoring tools
• Fundamental knowledge of networking
