About the role

This position performs all aspects of carpentry work, including new construction of walls, doors, cabinets, and/or demolition or renovation of existing walls, doors, cabinets, etc. Completes painting, roofing, floor coverings, staining, varnishing of materials and buildings, and training of new employees. Performs locksmith work including repairing old locks, panic bars, and new locking hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Performs installations, repairs, and general maintenance in functional area
  • Prepares materials and cost estimates for various projects within functional area
  • Performs preventive maintenance in functional area
  • Maintains level of supplies and equipment
  • Affords assistance in establishing safe construction sites to include directing traffic
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature or level

Requirements

This job is a safety sensitive position that will require a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing. This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma AND Two years of experience OR An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job

Benefits

The grade for this position is B21(3). Salary will be dependent on education and experience. Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.
