About the role

This position is devoted to providing journey electrical, and emergency power repairs and maintenance. It involves diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, ensuring compliance with safety and operational requirements, and supporting the supervisor with various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Performs preventative and general maintenance on electrical, HVAC, safety, utility, and related systems, equipment, and devices.
  • Diagnoses and troubleshoots issues, using computer-controlled and specialized programs, systems, and software.
  • Serves as an escalation point for resolving complex problems.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable safety and operational requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Assists the supervisor by preparing work assignments, scheduling repairs, mentoring and training staff, tracking job changes and customer concerns, monitoring contractor operations, and documenting and reporting operations.
  • Manages emergency calls and coordinates repairs with vendors and other staff.
  • Performs office support duties, such as answering phones, providing information, performing data entry, researching information, filing and retrieving documents, maintaining databases, and performing related duties.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED, HiSET, TASC)
  • One year of additional technical training
  • Five years of related trades experience
  • A valid, unrestricted, North Carolina driver's license
Additional Preferred Skills:
  • Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing, or water utility
  • Two years’ experience working with a CMMS program
  • Familiarity with using an Infrared thermography camera, Ultrasound probe equipment, and other hand-held electrical meters

Pay

Hiring Range: $57,228.00 - $88,775.00/Annually
