About the role

The Trades Specialist will join our Commercial Construction field sales team as a virtual employee in the San Jose territory. You will focus on selling DEWALT PTE, HTAS, STANLEY, LENOX, IRWIN, BOSTITCH, PORTERCABLE brands to end-user customers.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve top-line sales targets based on division and local market goals & objectives.
  • Sell to high-level executives, C-Suite, and jobsite directors.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain key relationships with end-user partners.
  • Teach and mentor local market team on end-user development processes.
  • Partner with Channel Marketing to implement and coordinate marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain and use SalesForce.com as a CRM and Planning tool.
  • Communicate successes and failures to improve processes and future success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related fields preferred.
  • Relevant construction field experience could be substituted for higher education.
  • 3+ years of experience in Sales or Marketing for Construction Supplies.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, verbal and written communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • Valid Driver's License and physical ability to travel up to 50% within territory assignment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications; Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
