Trades Specialist – Northern CA

About the role

The Trades Specialist will join our Commercial Construction field sales team as a virtual employee in the San Jose territory. The primary responsibility is to sell DEWALT, HTAS, STANLEY, LENOX, IRWIN, BOSTITCH, PORTERCABLE brands to end-user customers. Key tasks include establishing and maintaining key relationships, teaching and mentoring local market teams, and implementing marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Achieve top-line sales targets based on division and local market goals & objectives
• Sell to high-level executives, C-Suite, and jobsite directors
• Develop and maintain key relationships with end-user partners
• Teach and mentor local market teams on end-user development
• Implement and coordinate marketing initiatives
• Maintain and use SalesForce.com as a CRM and Planning tool
• Communicate successes and failures to improve processes and future success

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related fields preferred
• Relevant construction field experience as a substitute for higher education
• 3+ years of experience in Sales or Marketing for Construction Supplies
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, verbal and written communication, organization, and multitasking skills
• Valid Driver's License and physical ability to travel up to 50%
• Proficient in Microsoft applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
