About the role
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVACR systems, playing a crucial part in ensuring the comfort and safety of our customers by maintaining the performance and efficiency of HVACR systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, set up, and test refrigeration and air conditioning systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Ensure proper sizing and placement of equipment for optimal performance. Connect wiring and piping to ensure systems are fully operational.
- Perform regular maintenance checks to identify and resolve issues proactively. Diagnose malfunctions and repair or replace faulty components.
- Refill refrigerants and ensure systems meet safety and environmental standards. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical problems in HVACR systems.
- Conduct inspections to assess system performance and efficiency. Test controls and safety devices to ensure they are functioning correctly. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
- Communicate with customers to explain repairs and maintenance procedures. Provide recommendations for system upgrades or replacements when necessary. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations when working with refrigerants and electrical systems. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technology advancements, and relevant codes and standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of HVACR vocational training or apprenticeship program is preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as EPA 608, HVAC Excellence, or NATE Certification.
- Proven experience as a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician.
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical manuals.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Refrigerant Handling License (Required).
- Work authorization for Australia (Required).
Pay
$40.00 – $45.00 per hour
Schedule
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- 8-hour shift
- Overtime pay available
Work Location: On the road
