Trade Show & Sponsorship Sales Manager

MIE Group is seeking an experienced B2B sales professional to sell exhibitor space and sponsorship packages across our trade shows and conferences. This is a hands-on sales role for someone who can build a pipeline, develop client relationships and close business. About MIE Group MIE Group organizes B2B exhibitions and conferences that connect companies with industry professionals, buyers and business partners across multiple sectors. Responsibilities * Identify and engage prospective exhibitors and sponsors through research, cold calling, email outreach and networking.* Sell exhibition space and sponsorship packages that align with clients’ business goals.* Manage the sales process from initial outreach through proposals, negotiation and closing.* Build and maintain client relationships to support repeat bookings and account growth.* Maintain accurate CRM records, track opportunities and report on pipeline progress.* Meet sales targets and identify opportunities to grow event revenue.* Work with our sales, marketing and event teams to develop proposals and coordinate client deliverables.* Represent MIE Group at trade shows, industry events and client meetings. Qualifications * At least three years of B2B sales experience in the exhibition or events industry.* A track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.* Experience prospecting, negotiating and closing new business.* Strong written communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.* Familiarity with CRM software and sales pipeline management.* Ability to work independently and collaborate with U.S. and international colleagues.* Willingness to travel for events and client meetings as needed. Compensation * Annual base salary: $60,000–$72,000* Sales commission: 5%–20%, depending on the applicable commission structure. Location This position is based in Chicago and requires in-person work.
