Trade Operations Specialist - Deliveries & Inventory
About the role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Trade Operations Specialist – Deliveries & Inventory to join our growing Operations team. In this role, you will support the execution of environmental commodity transactions by managing deliveries, inventory positions, settlements, and operational processes across multiple environmental markets. You will work closely with traders, counterparties, registries, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless transaction execution while maintaining data accuracy and operational excellence. This role will also support our growing LATAM business, requiring regular collaboration with Spanish-speaking stakeholders across the region.
Key responsibilities
- Gain a strong understanding of environmental commodity markets and the operational lifecycle of trades, from execution through delivery and settlement.
- Manage day-to-day trade operations activities, including trade verification, inventory reconciliation, delivery execution, and settlement support.
- Cook up with internal teams, counterparties, registries, and brokers to ensure timely and accurate completion of transactions.
- Monitor and maintain inventory positions across multiple environmental products and registries.
- Prepare and analyze operational reports using internal and external data sources to support business decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate workflows, and enhance operational efficiency across the trading lifecycle.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in trade operations, settlements, logistics, commodity markets, energy markets, or a similar operational environment and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Self-driven and proactive, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience working with international counterparties.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with data analysis, reporting tools, or process automation is a plus.
Compensation and benefits
STX intends on offering the selected candidate a competitive base salary within the range of $65,000 USD – $85,000 based on several objective factors such as relevant experience, location, holistic skillset, and applicable licenses and certifications. The candidate may also be eligible for discretionary compensation as determined annually within the company fiscal year.
