Trade Compliance Specialist - Classification

Overview

Lutron is seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to join their Trade Compliance team at Lutron's Annex office in Center Valley, PA.

Responsibilities

• Assign Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes based on customs regulations and product data.
• Resolve trade compliance issues to support shipment clearance, including part classification, part number creation, and system updates.
• Cook with customs brokers to ensure accurate import/export documentation and process compliance.
• Review and process commercial invoices using internal tools to support timely and accurate import declarations.
• Create and manage Schedule B export numbers by cross-referencing HTS codes.
• Track and report daily and monthly trade compliance metrics.
• Support testing and analysis of global classification and FTA tools; escalate issues as needed.
• Train team members on import/export compliance procedures and best practices.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, High School diploma required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in import/export regulations, HTS classification codes, or comparable field preferred.
• PREFERRED: Custom Certified Specialist, Certified Export Specialist, or Licensed Customs Broker.
• MUST live within commutable distance of Center Valley PA to accommodate in-office schedule.
