TRACTOR TRAILER OPERATOR

About the role

This position involves operating tractor trailers in the New England Logistics Division. The job is located at 79 Postal Service Way, Scarborough, ME 04074-7001.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor trailers safely and efficiently
• Load and unload cargo according to postal regulations
• Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers
• Operate within the scope of a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
• At least two years of unsupervised experience driving passenger cars or larger vehicles
• One year of full-time unsupervised experience driving a 7-ton or larger truck, tractor-trailer, or a 16-passenger or larger bus
• A safe driving record
• Completion of a Driving Notification and Compliance Certificate
• Pre-employment drug screen and clearance from previous employment as a commercial vehicle driver

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in and understand the English language
• Must meet medical suitability, general eligibility, and suitability requirements

Pay

The starting salary for this position is $33.55 per hour, paid bi-weekly.

Schedule

Hours are variable and non-scheduled.
