Tractor Trailer Driver - RTD

Responsibilities

• Drives tractor-trailer vehicle to designated locations and operates mechanized loading/unloading equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Six (6) months of FedEx Express experience preferred.
• Ability to drive manual transmission preferred.
• Ability to operate mechanized loading/GSE (Ground Support Equipment).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
• Customer contact and package handling experience preferred.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Neat appearance since customer contact is involved.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to inquiries.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) and a hazardous materials endorsement (HME) for the assigned vehicle type, with a good driving record as outlined in policy.

Job Conditions

• FMCSA-covered safety-sensitive position.
• Medical exam required.
• Subject to regulatory alcohol and drug testing, including testing for marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine, and opioids.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Pay

Base wage: $24.25 per hour, with an additional $4 per hour premium, totaling up to $35.54 per hour.

Schedule

Tuesday–Saturday, 5 a.m. – 11 a.m.
