About the role

Drives tractor-trailer vehicle to designated locations and operates mechanized loading/unloading equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Drive tractor-trailer vehicles to designated locations.
Operate mechanized loading/unloading equipment.
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Maneuver packages weighing up to 50 lbs using appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
Handle customer contact and package handling.
Show good human relations and verbal communication skills.
Avoid smoking and drinking while on duty.
Work in a constant state of alertness and safely.
Obtain and maintain a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazardous Materials Endorsement (HME).

Requirements

At least 21 years old.
Ability to read and speak English sufficiently.
Medical exam required.
Subject to regulatory alcohol & drug testing.
Must have a good driving record.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
Six (6) months FedEx Express experience preferred.
Ability to drive manual transmission preferred.
Knowledge of mechanized loading/GSE operations.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
Neat appearance due to customer contact.
