Track Head Coach, (1 Year Position) Winograd PK-8

Location: Winograd K-8 School

Classification: Non-Exempt • 1-year position (2026-2027 / Spring 2027)

About the role

Responsible for all aspects of head coach for the Track program, including overseeing assistant coaches and making decisions based on the direction of the program.

Responsibilities

• Organizing and supervising game help
• Assists with supervision at activities
• Supervises assistant coaches

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• CPR certification
• CHSAA test and regulation Concussion Education
• Prior coaching experience in this sport
• Complete concussion training

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual skills
• Leadership experience relating to meeting the social, emotional, psychological, and academic needs of students

Skills

• Knowledge of Colorado and district content standards
• Ability to perform all duties of the position
• Flexibility and ability to deal with conflict
• High tolerance for stress
• Ability to quickly internalize information and make informed decisions

Work Environment / Physical Demands

• Ability to sit for long periods of time
• Visual, auditory, and ambulatory acuity important
• Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds
• Numerous distractions
• Travel as needed

Pay

Salary placement on the Co-Curricular Salary schedule depends on the sport and the employee’s in-district experience as outlined in Article XXIII of the Master Contract.
