TR Manager in Training

About the role

Citi Trends is looking for a dedicated Store Manager to join our team at one of the largest chains in the value-priced urban apparel industry. In this role, you'll be the glue that holds our store together, managing and leading all day-to-day operations. You'll ensure customers receive the service they deserve while keeping the store on track with planned sales and profit goals. This position is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, counsel, and terminate employees in compliance with legal and internal processes.
• Maintain financial controls, including shrink, payroll, and other operating expenses.
• Maintain proper inventory controls, facilitate inventory transactions, and ensure compliance with shrink control standards.
• Monitor sales activities to ensure customers receive satisfactory service.
• Direct and supervise employees engaged in sales, inventory-taking, reconciling cash receipts, or performing customer services.
• Ensure staff adherence to all Citi Trends, Inc. policies and procedures.
• Perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• 3-5 years of retail experience as a Store Manager.
• 5-7 years of total retail experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
