TPR Accounting Director
Job Summary
This position coordinates all Accounting support for Operations including policies & procedures, accounting processes and systems support, chart of accounts, bad debt processes and other items as needed. The Director of Operational Accounting & Analysis would serve as the coordinator for accounting changes/updates that impact the facility level accounting staff and reporting/monitoring of facility based process. This position also has the responsibility of coordinating with Operations leadership at the Home Office to produce standardized reporting for both monthly operations reviews and daily operational reporting needs. The Director of Operational Accounting & Analysis will facilitate coordination with the Dell, Conifer and Tenet IT departments on implementation of Tenet's standard financial systems into newly acquired Tenet facilities. In addition, special projects and data evaluation for other departments is crucial to this role. This position requires a high level of focus working on multiple large priorities simultaneously in response to requests from senior management or in relation to closing Tenet’s financial statements.
Responsibilities
- Cook up support of facility accounting staff for month end close, systems, policy interpretation, and disclosure reporting.
- Supervise performance of complex financial analyses and reviews of specific financial metrics.
- Analyze trends and changes that may explain Tenet’s financial results, but also provide insight into future risks & opportunities.
- Manage projects for system enhancements, system training, and support.
- Manage special projects and interpretation of financial data for key constituents.
- Audit Support
- Quarterly Disclosure preparation, AIP coordination, and represent specific subject matter expertise on key committees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
- 7-10 years previous hospital level healthcare or comparable experience is required.
- Excellent communication skills.
