Position Overview

The TPA Technical Support Specialist will provide technical expertise and excellent support efforts for Paylocity's Spending Account Benefit Systems. The TPA Technical Support Specialist will collaborate with various teams within the organization and learn multiple software products to fully support any questions that may arise. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, strong attention to detail and the ability to apply critical thinking to troubleshoot and resolve issues for customers and internal partners. The position will focus on several key areas including Help Ticket completion, analyzing and resolving API related issues, plan setup guidance, benefit system configuration and electronic banking transactions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Learn and become an expert on application features, configuration, and supported third party software
  • Create, monitor and prioritize cases and help tickets between internal team members (i.e. AM or IC) to resolve client issues in a timely manner
  • Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to research, troubleshoot and resolve Benefits Configuration and API connectivity issues
  • Partner closely with Benefit Implementation Consultants and Sales partners, providing system setup consultation
  • Design and test the benefits system as needed, based on client plan requirements according to the analysis/specifications
  • Import & analyze data using various platforms including third party record keeping systems
  • Complete full data audits, including producing reports, providing summaries and detail for system reconciliation
  • Ability to understand why discrepancies are occurring and provide direction on how to resolve to customers and internal partners
  • Work cross functionally with internal team members (i.e. BAM and AM) to manage open enrollment projects with effective communication to meet client deadlines and expectations
  • Perform a variety of routine daily electronic banking tasks related to client funds including processing bill payments via lockbox, issuing claim reimbursements/distributions, initiating transfers between accounts as needed, manual entry of credit/debit transactions through various banking sites etc.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a benefits support role: experience in Tax advantaged plans (FSA, HSA, HRA, Commuter) role preferred
  • Ability to analyze data for high level problem resolution
  • Education: Preferred Bachelor's degree, but minimum of HS Degree completion
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver projects on time
  • Desire for continued learning
  • Intermediate MS Office skills, particularly with Excel, specifically being able to import data and use pivot tables, and VLOOKUP
  • Basic understanding of EDI data mapping and transformation, as well as data communication protocols such as SFTP and FTP a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical partners

Pay

The base pay range for this position is $40,700 - $58,100 /yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
