Tower Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and assists the operations manager(s) to ensure safe, timely, reliable, and cost-efficient fueling operations.
• Maintains situational awareness and disseminates operational information to relevant parties.
• Maintains professional contact and operational coordination with airlines, airport operations, flight control, and fueling departments.
• Develops and implements operational and contingency plans for optimal resource utilization.
• Communicates operational problem-solving options and plans to managers and supervisors, and airline personnel.
• Maintains technological systems and evaluates their impact on operational plans.
• Maintains logs and documentation for anticipation of problem situations and reporting purposes.
• Coordinates the emergency/significant event notification system and ensures regulatory notifications are documented.
• Maintains attendance standards and supervises employees.

Requirements

• Prior airline experience is desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• One year certificate from a college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High school diploma, GED.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Ability to solve problems and make decisions based on standard procedures and guidelines.
• Valid Driver's License.

Qualifications

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and draw/bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
