About the role

The Total Rewards Specialist implements all functions related to employee benefit programs, including group health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, Health Savings Accounts, Flexible Spending Accounts, voluntary benefits, and retirement benefits. Leads or assists in all activities related to annual open enrollment. Orients new employees on the organization's benefit package. Responsible for administration of employee leave and the leave system.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage employee benefit programs (health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, HSAs, FSAs, voluntary benefits, retirement benefits).
• Lead or assist in annual open enrollment activities.
• Orient new employees on the organization’s benefit package.
• Administer employee leave and the leave system.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources and benefit administration required.
• Healthcare human resources experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Exceptional oral and written skills; ability to draft clear, concise communication and documents.
• Strong decision-making skills; perceives the impact and implications of decisions.
• Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships within HR and with leaders.
• High level of initiative, effort, and commitment to completing assignments in a timely manner.
• Flexibility to work varied or additional hours as needed.
• High degree of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Pay

The base compensation range for this role is $36.06 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by qualifications, previous work experience, and education. This range does not include applicable incentive compensation programs such as shift differentials or other eligible incentives.

Physical Demands

• Constant standing, frequent walking, and bending/stooping.
• Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills; attention to detail.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs (use Safe Handling Equipment for weights over 35 lbs).
• Travel between campus buildings, remote facilities, and out of town as needed.
