Tortilla Sales Manager

About the role

Azteca Milling LP, a division of Gruma Corporation, is seeking a Tortilla Sales Manager to join their team. With over 70 years of experience, Gruma is the world's largest producer of corn masa flour.

Responsibilities

• Maintain existing customer base
• Identify market and business opportunities
• Achieve budgeted sales volume growth expectations
• Arrange for product testing opportunities
• Review sales trends on a regular basis
• Accurately forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual sales
• Travel as required to maintain and service the customer base and generate additional business
• Co-supervise support staff, Technical Services, and Sales Coordinators
• Develop expertise with both the tortilla processing equipment and the product line for corn tortillas
• Support the Trade Show activities
• Develop good working relationships with other departments (accounting, QA, Technical Services, Operations, Customer Service, Warehousing, Transportation, HR, etc.)
• Become thoroughly knowledgeable about the business of our customers and potential customers
• Generate weekly and monthly reports as required
• Develop strong business relationships with customer base
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year university; plus, three to four years of related sales experience and/or training
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public
• Ability to calculate discounts, interest, commission, proportions, percentages, and volume
• Bilingual English & Spanish required

Qualifications

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year university; plus, three to four years of related sales experience and/or training; *Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above.

Skills

• Strong sales and customer service skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of tortilla processing equipment and product line

Pay

$115,000.00 - $120,000.00 plus 10% Discretionary Bonus
