Tools & Parts Attendant

About the role

Amentum is immediately hiring Tool and Parts attendants in support of U.S. Navy Aircraft maintenance operations at NAS Oceana, VA.

Responsibilities

• Issuing, Receiving, Storing and inventorying all assigned tools, equipment, hazmat, shop equipment and specialized tools/test equipment.
• Keeping records of tools that are issued or received, requisition stock as needed, unpack and store any new equipment and supplies.
• Visually inspect tools for wear, defects and missing parts and report findings as required.
• Treat tools and equipment with preservatives such as grease or oils and attach identification tags or markings to tools and equipment utilizing an electric marking tool.
• Pass and maintain a U.S. Government background security check as well as favorable fingerprints in EQIP. Complete a SF-85/86 in EQIP as required to maintain possession of a CAC card.

Requirements

• Shift work is required.
• High School graduate or equivalent with a minimum two (2) years actual and recent organizational level aircraft maintenance experience desired.
• Valid Virginia or North Carolina Driver license (if North Carolina resident).
• Knowledge and use of special tools/equipment required to perform assigned maintenance tasks is mandatory.
• Ability to read and interpret technical publications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Self-motivator and works with minimum supervision.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Able to obtain a favorable T3 Secret eligibility status.
• Able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with U.S. Navy aviation experience on F/A-18 aircraft highly preferred.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is $23.15 per hour. Plus $7.80 per hour, up to 40 hours per week, for Health & Welfare.
