Job Summary

Receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies and equipment, such as measuring devices, in an industrial establishment.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One (1) year related experience working with U.S. Army combat and tactical equipment preferred
  • Familiarity with wide range of tools and equipment associated with support of tracked and wheeled vehicle maintenance effort
  • Basic knowledge of generally accepted warehousing concepts such as storage layout, locator systems, and proper material handling procedures
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a government general-purpose vehicle

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands

  • Moderately lighted, heated and ventilated shop environment
  • Exposure to disagreeable fumes and cuts/bruises from using tools in close proximity and hazards of moving vehicles such as forklifts and sweepers in shop area
  • Regularly stands, uses hands to finger, handle, or feel, talks or hears, walks, reaches with hands and arms, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls, and works in tiring and uncomfortable positions
  • Frequently lifts items weighing 15-25 pounds and occasionally in excess of 45 pounds

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hiring Hourly Rate: $22.90 (Set by CBA)
  • Current Hourly Wage: $22.90
  • On or around 6/1/2027: $23.58

Other Responsibilities

  • Safety - Develop and maintain a safe work environment, complete all training requirements, fulfill self-aid/buddy aid responsibilities, participate in emergency response tasks, serve on safety committees and teams
  • Quality - Conform to the Amentum Quality Policy and carry out job activities in compliance with applicable Amentum Quality System documents and customer contracts
  • Procedure Compliance - Read, understand, and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies pertaining to his/her job
