Tools, Fasteners, and Safety Specialist - Salt Lake City, UT
About the role
As a TFS Sales Support Specialist at Codale Electric, you will be responsible for driving sales and profitability for the Tools, Fastening and Safety categories by providing support to account managers, inside salespeople, and customers within Codale’s Industrial, Commercial and Renewable Verticals.
Responsibilities
- Basic understanding of product and application knowledge for Tools, Fasteners and Safety products.
- Support TFS outside sales efforts, including:
- Interact with Codale Sales Associates, Branch, and District Managers.
- Develop relationships with Codale’s external customers.
- Provide product price and availability, and monitor branch inventory levels to support TFS sales and promotions.
- Work with Branch Managers to support showroom processes.
- Collaborate with marketing to produce quarterly flyers and promotions, creatively supporting initiatives.
- Engage and share best practices with TFS specialists across the Sonepar network.
- Occasional travel.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Tools, Fasteners and Safety products preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong analytical and computer skills, including mastery of MS Office software.
- Working knowledge of Eclipse ERP preferred (training offered).
- Effective communication and presentation skills with internal and external salespeople, vendors, purchasing, and marketing.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Six months or more related experience and/or training preferred.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Ability to grow and maintain relationships with individuals of any background or personality type.
- Good sense of humor.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong creativity and critical‑thinking abilities.
- Comfort with recent technological applications related to daily tasks.
- Reliable problem‑solving ability.
