Toolroom Attendant

Responsibilities

• Locate and distribute tools as requested.
• Clean tools and equipment on return.
• Perform local delivery.
• Learn parts inventory system.
• Maintain spreadsheet of daily inventory usage.
• Alert purchasing once inventory reaches minimum level.
• Distribute tools, parts and consumables.
• Order consumables, tools and parts and maintain a log of distribution.
• Follow rules and practices of work safety.
• May be involved in safety committee.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• May be required to operate forklift and local delivery vehicle.

Requirements

• Experience: 1 Year
• Certifications: None
• Technical Skills: The ability to operate computer system at appropriate level
• Read, write and speak proficiently in English
• Organized

Working Conditions: Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds. This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays. Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.

Safety Activities: Be aware of and observe all safety practices. Including but not limited to- Safety glasses, safety boots, hearing protection, etc… as required. Know and follow all safety rules and procedures. Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned.
