About the role
This is a full-time on-site role for a Tool Room Attendant at Natoli Engineering Company, Inc.
Responsibilities
- Issue, receive, and track materials, tools, consumable supplies and tablet compression tooling (punches, dies, segments)
- Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP/MRP systems
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment with Buyer to prevent shortages
- Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits
- Maintain full traceability of tooling by part number, lot, and customer requirements
- Inspect returned tools for wear, damage, or contamination
- Segregate nonconforming tools and coordinate repair or disposal
- Ensure compliance with internal quality systems and applicable regulatory standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready tool crib environment
- Store tooling to prevent damage and preserve critical tolerances and finishes
- Follow proper handling procedures for precision components
- Ensure timely availability of tooling to meet production schedules
- Stage tooling kits for manufacturing jobs
- Collaborate with machinists, polishing, and quality teams on supply requests and replenishments
- Receive and verify incoming materials against purchase orders
- Report discrepancies and coordinate with buyers and vendors as needed for vendor managed inventory or supplies
- Track tool usage, wear, and refurbishment schedules
- Cook out tooling to outside processing with buyer on polishing, coating, and repairing processes
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to tooling performance
- Process Supplier Nonconforming Products through QT9
- Provide status updates and schedule changes to production

- MRP/ERP experience
- Microsoft Office Suite experience
- Experience in regulated or high-precision industries strongly preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing, tool & die, or precision tooling environment preferred
- Knowledge of precision tooling, preferably tablet compression punches and dies
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP inventory systems
- Basic understanding of inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, visual inspection)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and handling of small components
- Good manual dexterity for handling precision tooling
