Tooling Techncian

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on Injection Molds according to procedure and report the status of the molds to the supervisor.
• Operate machining tools and equipment for preventive and/or corrective maintenance of the molds.
• Perform repairs and tests on Injection Molds.
• Perform inventory of molding tools and parts and report the status to supervisor.
• Store and maintain validated components; store non-validated components.
• Maintain stock inventories by ensuring the proper levels of component parts are available at all times for tooling repair.
• Improve the efficiency and accuracy of molded products by documenting reasons for mold repairs and solutions to prevent future manufacturing interruptions.
• Follow all procedures and training; maintain excellent attendance.
• Advise supervisor of any recurring production failures so that prompt corrective action may be taken.
• Escalate recurring issues through the proper chain of command.
• Maintain logs of all molds that have undergone preventive maintenance, as well as controlling each of the molds.
• Maintain machine cleanliness standards.
• Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations.
• Comply with and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience repairing plastic injection molds.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of machines and tools in the mold shop.
• Ability to operate all manual mold shop equipment and machines.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Detail-oriented with determination and problem-solving/troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work well within a team.
• Responsiveness.

Pay

The hourly pay range for this role is $20.77 - $37.36. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
