Tooling Support Coordinator
Position Summary
Penske Truck Leasing, a leader in the transportation industry, seeks an Equipment Repair Technician (SETS) to join our team. This role focuses on inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs of shop equipment and tools in assigned areas. The position offers flexible hours, with 10-hour shifts 4 days a week, Monday through Friday. Successful candidates will contribute positively to maintenance operations, enhancing the lives of Technicians, Supervisors, and Service Managers.
Major Responsibilities
- Perform SETS Inspection and Light Repair Procedures
- Collaborate with location staff and SETS team to schedule visits
- Communicate repair or replacement recommendations based on inspection results
- Keep SETS truck organized and clean
- Communicate Tool, Replacement Part and Garage Supplies Inventory needs
- Identify areas of SETS process improvement
- Assist as needed with Training of inspection and repair process with new associates
- Other duties and tasks as required by supervisor
Qualifications
- 0-3 years as an automotive or heavy duty technician with diagnostics and repair experience preferred
- Valid Driver's License required
- ALI Inspection Certification preferred
- CDI Torque Wrench Certification Training preferred
- ASE Certifications preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associates or Tech School Degree preferred
- Excellent organization, customer service and communication skills
- Experience using tools of the trade (including computers, tablets, cellular devices, hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment, etc)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based applications (including Outlook, Teams, Smartsheet and Salesforce, etc)

The associate must be able to work safely at heights using applicable ladders and elevated working platforms. The associate must be able to safely work in all weather conditions. Given the frequent movement of large trucks through the workplace, the associate must be able to see and hear in order to safely navigate the work environment. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
