About the role
The Tooling Supervisor supports production in a team-based environment, ensuring process integrity, safety, quality, schedule adherence, and cost control.
Responsibilities
- Supervise toolmakers, apprentices, and specialists, providing training to develop Master Toolmakers.
- Communicate project status, goals, and expectations, and assign tasks effectively.
- Maintain accurate job schedules, track hours, and review job builds for efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and company policies, enforcing compliance among staff.
- Participate in weekly engineering, staff, and review meetings to update on projects and forecast.
- Manage tool room schedules, job track sheets, and debug schedules.
- Complete performance reviews and promote a positive, professional work atmosphere.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 10–15 years of tool-making experience with relevant coursework.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn new software.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, and work in various physical positions.
