About the Opportunity
The Tooling Operations Administrator administers, supports, and maintains enterprise technology platforms, with a primary focus on Redwood RunMyJobs (RMJ) and enterprise batch processing. This role ensures the reliability, availability, and effectiveness of critical tooling operations that support business functions across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues across enterprise platforms and integrations.
- Provide technical expertise in RMJ batch processing, scheduling, and failure recovery.
- Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions for recurring issues.
- Support the design, configuration, testing, and implementation of platform enhancements.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve troubleshooting and platform reliability.
- Provide day-to-day platform administration and operational support.
- Monitor workloads, troubleshoot failures, and coordinate recovery activities.
- Manage platform configurations, access, permissions, and integrations.
- Respond promptly to incidents, alerts, and service requests.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve operational issues.
- Participate in on-call rotations, including after-hours and weekend support.
- Support platform upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities.
- Conduct health checks and proactively address performance and security concerns.
- Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Track and report incidents, batch failures, and platform health trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Redwood RunMyJobs and enterprise batch processing.
- Experience supporting critical enterprise technology platforms.
- Knowledge of batch scheduling, job dependencies, monitoring, and failure recovery.
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux environments, databases, APIs, file transfers, authentication, and system integrations.
- Preferred experience with ITSM, monitoring, developer tools, or automation platforms.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn multiple platforms and leverage AI and automation to improve operational efficiency.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support.
Pay
Annual salary range: $50,000–$70,000. Base pay may vary based on geographic region, internal equity, knowledge, skills, and experience.
