Our client is a major U.S. manufacturing hub for a North American automotive industrial group. Based in Arkansas, the facility specializes in custom metal manufacturing for automotive and commercial vehicle components. The company is seeking a new Tool & Die Engineer with enthusiasm and capability to train several apprentices. Design experience is a plus, as this task is currently outsourced. The engineering Manager is renowned for driving great teams, training and empowering them, and ensuring a safe, thriving work environment.
About The Role
The organization is seeking an experienced Tooling Engineer to design, develop, and maintain tooling systems that support metal fabrication plant processes.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Tool & Die, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3-5 years of tooling engineering experience in metal fabrication
- Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.)
- Strong understanding of sheet metal forming, stamping, machining, and welding processes
- Skilled in machining, grinding, fitting, and precision tooling assembly
- Ability to read engineering drawings and apply GD&T
- Strong problem-solving ability and collaborative mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP a plus)
Pay
$75,000 – $100,000
