Responsibilities
- Create 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, and documentation.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams to develop practical production solutions.
- Support prototype, pilot, and production builds through custom fixture and tooling design.
- Improve existing tooling to enhance quality, repeatability, ergonomics, and throughput.
- Work with internal fabrication teams and external vendors to bring designs into production.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience designing tooling, fixtures, workholding devices, or manufacturing equipment
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks
- Strong understanding of machining, fabrication, GD&T, and manufacturing processes
- Experience in a regulated industry such as medical devices, aerospace, or life sciences is preferred
About the role
This is not a product design role. The primary responsibility is designing the tools, fixtures, gauges, assembly aids, and manufacturing support equipment required to produce, inspect, test, and assemble medical device components.
