With over 80 years of experience in the design, development, and production of jet engine components, modules, and engines, MTU Maintenance is a global network of over 4,000 employees with over 35 years of experience in the MRO market. MTU provides maintenance from targeted hospital visits to complete overhauls on over 30+ commercial aero engine and industrial gas turbine lines and has completed more than 18,000 shop visits for over 1,400 customers worldwide. Within this Global network, MTU Maintenance Dallas provides hospital shop and on-site maintenance services.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on tools and fixtures.
- Troubleshoot tool issues during engine disassembly and assembly and provide immediate support to production.
- Ensure proper tool handling and storage in the shopfloor environment.
- Create tailored tool kits for specific workscopes and processes.
- Develop and implement concepts for tool organization, such as shadow boards and visual management systems.
- Manage tool inventory, issue, and return processes.
- Support tool tracking and condition monitoring.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or associate degree in aviation maintenance preferred.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification or equivalent (EASA Part-66, etc.) preferred.
- Experience in engine maintenance, preferably in a DAT MRO environment.
- Strong understanding of engine systems, components, and maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with OEM manuals (e.g., CMM, AMM, IPC) and digital maintenance platforms.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent work ethic and motivation for a high standard of work.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or associate degree in aviation maintenance preferred.
