Tool Shop Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and build production tooling, jigs, fixtures, and specialized equipment.
• Create and refine tooling designs using sketches and CAD.
• Diagnose tooling issues and implement creative, hands-on solutions.
• Support new tooling development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Track and document tooling performance, maintenance history, and critical setup parameters.
• Train and support operators on proper setup and use of tooling and equipment.
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Achieved or currently completing an associate degree in Tool & Die, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in tooling, machining, or mechanical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD designs.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with a problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of tooling construction, maintenance, or repair processes (steel rule die experience a plus).
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills and pride in craftsmanship.
