Maintenance Technician

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Affords assistance in completing tasks in “make-ready” apartments, such as painting, drywall repair, carpet and floor cleaning, window washing, and general maintenance repairs.
  • Executes preventive maintenance and conducts regular community inspections as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Maintains grounds, ensuring common areas are free from trash and debris.
  • Supports the upkeep of all mechanical equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Proposes repairs or replacements for any interior and exterior areas.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with trade or technical school training a plus.
  • At least one year of hands-on experience in painting, cleaning, plumbing, carpentry, or a similar maintenance-related field.
  • Preferred Fire Safety Manager Certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • Basic computer skills to generate work orders using property management software.
  • Ability to lift and operate heavy equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
  • EPA, CPO, HVAC, and CFC certifications are a plus.
